If There's 'sweeping', police chief sacked!

National Police Chief General (Pol) Bambang Hendarso Danuri promised to bare her head or police station if there is a sweeping act of violence by various groups that the name of religion, either before or during the month of Ramadan.

"He (Chief of Police) to ensure that if there is a police chief who did not act decisively when there is violence, the police chief would be prosecuted, could be removed at once," said Maman Imanulhaq, caregiver one boarding school in Cirebon, West Java, at Police Headquarters, Wednesday ( 14/07/2010).

The promise was delivered by Chief of Police to Maman and activists from Kontras, Impartial, PGI, Equivalent Institute, and others. Maman revealed, Chief of Police told the activists that the violence must stop immediately. "No violence by anyone, to anyone, and the name of anything. There is something positive about the rights of citizens who began neglected," he said

The activists told the Police the police is needed. "So from now on we are committed to the police, whatever acts of violence, including the name of religion, we must prevent it. With it we can look at Indonesia will become a civilized country, not only do violence," said Maman.

As reported, last month's outbreaks of violence experienced by members of the House of Representatives Commission IX for free health care when socializing in Banyuwangi, East Java.
